In five or ten years the tourism sector, services and trade in Rivas could have a new face, ranking among the best destinations in the country competing with other nations in Latin America.
That is the projection of Vanessa Vivian Pellas, executive director of Guacalito Island project has once operations at Costa Esmeralda airport in Tola, Rivas, are consolidated. Hector Jimenez, president of the Association of Small Hotels of Nicaragua and owner Yaltas Inn Hotel in Guasacate Beach, Tola, said the Costa Smeralda airport will benefit local people by generating jobs. “And second will give a boost and dynamism to tourism in the area, attracting foreigners with high economic level,” said Jimenez.
